Chakshu Upanishad

Chakshu Upanishad (Read Chakshu Upanishad here) explains the significance of its own name as it talks about the eyes, various diseases related to them and their cures. These have been told by different scholars and saints. This Upanishad falls in the category of Krishn Yajur Ved Upanishad. Prayers have been offered to Lord Sun asking him to bless people so that they don’t face any eye problems.

Blessings have been asked from Sun so that people can see the world with their eyes and understand its importance. Cures of various eye diseases have been talked about in the Chakshu Upanishad. Lord Sun has been believed to be the basis for eye sight. Sun has been believed to be the protector of the eyes and it is believed that he is the one who saves them from all sorts of problems. It is believed that Sun provides eye sight in the same way as he provides life on this earth. A person can see everything because of Sun. The magnificence of Sun has been talked about along with various cures for eye problems. Sun has been asked to bless everyone.

Chakshu Upanishad Sun Worship

Chakshu Upanishad explains the magnificence of Sun who is known by different names like Aaditya, Bhaaskar, Dinakar, Ravi etc. Prayers are offered to him and his blessings have been asked so that people are free from all sins and can gain positive energies. Sun’s blessings make everybody understand the importance of this world.

Chakshu Upanishad talks about three important Mantra that help in understanding Chakshu knowledge. This knowledge provides the eyes with strength. Saint Ahirbudhnya explains the Chakshu knowledge in a beautiful way so that people can easily understand it. The Mantra have been written in Gayatri Chhand. Reciting these Mantra provide a person with good sight and cures a person from all sorts of eye problems. The saint asks for Sun’s blessings to reside in the eyes of every person and provide them with strength. He asks him to provide people with the energy so that they can see and understand the Sun and can be free from all sorts of eye diseases. He says that every person worships Lord Sun and should be blessed.

The saint also says that only Sun can bless the people to see the truth and be free from all sins. He asks Sun to bless everyone so that everyone can see his magnificence, they can see the path from death to salvation.

Chakshu Upanishad Importance

Reading or hearing Chakshu Upanishad cures a person from all sorts of eye problems. This Upanishad explains the magnificence of Sun. People devoted to Sun are free from all sins and are cured of any eye problems. Water should be poured in front of the Sun every morning. Reciting Mantra while worshipping Sun provides a person with a lot of positive energy. A person reading or hearing Chakshu Upanishad is free from all sorts of eye problems and no person in his successors loses eye sight. The knowledge from this Upanishad can be fully understood by imparting it to eight Braahman.
