Stories About Destiny and Free Will
This is a story of the Yogee Kinaaraam who was born around 1620 and was around the time of Tulasee Daas Jee. There is an interesting story about Tulasee Daas Jee and Kinaaraan. In Vaaraanasee there was a rich merchant who had no son. He served Tulasee Daas Jee for many years and prayed that he should be blessed with a son. Tulasee Daas Jee promised to speak to Shree Raam about it. When Tulasee Daas Jee spoke to Shree Raam at night about the merchant's request, Shree Raam saw what was written in the merchant's destiny and found that he would have no son for the next ten births. He told this to Tulasee Daas Jee and Tulasee Daas Jee told this to that merchant that he was not destined to get a son. But the traders do not give up hope easily.

He stopped going to Tulasee Daas Jee and went to Kinaaraan Aghoree instead. One day he took a dish of tasty meals to Kinaaraan. Kinaaraan partook of three Pooree and vegetables and feeling pleased with the food, he asked the merchant what was behind this service. The merchant expressed his desire for a son and Kinaaraan promised him three sons, one for each Pooree he ate. When the first son was born the merchant celebrated the occasion with ceremonial worship and gifts. When Tulasee Daas Jee came to know this he felt hurt and complained to Shree Raam. Shree Raam explained to him that when Tulasee Daas Jee requested Him for a son for the merchant it was merely a request; but when Kinaaraan sacrificed his own liberation gained from his Saadhanaa, even though it meant consequent rebirths for him, in return for the birth of a son to the merchant; it was the sacrifice made for the sake of others and that made the big difference."

Another Version
There is another version of this story told by a Kerala astrologer who comes from a Paramparaa (tradition) of 47 generations of astrologers. He said - "Once Kinaaraan Aghoree was once traveling in Banaaras streets that he met this merchant and asked him to offer alcohol. That moment a Poojaa (ritual worship) was going on, so the merchant did not feel like offering alcohol to Kinaaraan, but he knew the temper of Kinaaraan who was famous in Banaaras for his powers, so he offered him alcohol. Kinaaraan got very pleased by the host, he asked him what did he want, the host merchant said that he does not have children, if he could have.... Kinaaraan whipped his wife 3 times and said now that Karm is over and you would get 3 children. Later when his wife had children, Tulasee Daas Jee came to know about them and went to Shree Raam ..... and the rest of the story is the same.

Yet Another Version
There is another addition to this story from the part where Tulasee Daas Jee is asking Shree Raam about how come Kinaaraan could bless the merchant's wife with children. Tulasee Daas Jee was in great surprise that the word of Shree Raam could that be so wrong. He again called Shree Raam and He told him that He would answer his question when he would provide him with human flesh. Now Tulasee Daas Jee was in a fix. Where he would get the human flesh from? He could not arrange it, still  he waited to kill somebody taking a knife in his hand; but he was not able to do it. He again went back to Shree Raam and said to Him - "Prabhu, I cannot arrange it." Raam smiled and said to him - "Go to Kinaaraan - he will arrange it for you, and you bring it to me."

Tulasee Daas Jee went to Kinaaraan and asked him for human flesh. He said - "Shree Raam wants human flesh and He has asked it from you. Oh, that is very simple." He took a knife, cut his own flesh and gave it to Tulasee Daas Jee to give it to Shree Raam. Tulasee Daas Jee took it to Shree Raam and handed over it to Him. Shree Raam said - "You also have the flesh but it never came to your mind that you could give it to me, he immediately gave it to me, although he doesn't know me. Even gods cannot go against the will of Aghoree and Yogee. Whatever Kinaaraan will say - will have to happen."
