One day a Zen master and a young monk were walking together. They came to a river and were about to cross it, that they saw a young beautiful girl almost drowned in the water. The Zen monk quickly went over there and carried this young girl across. After crossing the river the Zen master put the girl down and continued with his journey. The young man caught up with his master and said," Master, I hate you because you have just broken a precept. We are not supposed to touch any lady." " Yes, I did that. I saved her life out of unconditional love with true compassion. I have already put her down with detachment while you are still carrying her with your mind. Now who has broken the precept?"
