Govindpaad

This is the story of the Guru of Shankaraachaarya Jee - Govindpaad. Govindpaad's earlier name was Chandra Sharmaa.

There is a well-known story about him, that once he approached a Brahm Raakshas to gain Vidyaа. The Brahm Raakshas found that Chandra Sharmaa was a big scholar, so he put a condition for teaching, that Chandra Sharmaa would have no food and no sleep for 6 months. So he took some medicine/tablets from a Siddh to live without food and sleep for six months. After his education was finished in all Shaastra, he left for his native place. He forgot that he had already passed six months, so the power of medicine had elapsed and he fell on the ground unconscious under a tree near a house of a Shoodra woman. When that Shoodra young woman saw him lying like this, she served him, arranged medicine etc for him and saved him. When he asked her to ask for any boon for her services, she expressed her desire to marry him. He was in dilemma, what to do because she was a Shoodra girl and he was a Braahman. So their case was referred to that state King. The Chief Minister discussed with the King and a businessman, they also decided to give their daughters to Chandra Sharma so that he can marry that woman to fulfill her wish.
