Sandhi

Sandhi is a term used in Hindi and Sanskrit grammar. Its meaning is to join, or to unite two words together. In this process sometimes the two words retain their original form, but sometimes not, and at other times one cannot recognize which two words were used to make this new word. It is similar to some Samaas also.

For example, there are 3 words - Sat + Chit + Aanand
When we do Sandhi of them they become - Sachchidaanand
T of Sat become ch, T of Chit becomes D, and Aanand retains its form.
This is the Sandhi of these 3 words.

Sapt + Rishhi  =  Saptarshi
