Draupadee's Swayamvar

The following incident is not in Mahaabhaarat, but it is given in "Mahabharat" serial. See also "Why Draupadee had five husbands?"

The then Krishn arrived there and after their formal greetings He said - "Don't worry, Gautam's daughter was married to seven Rishi, Hiranyaaksh's sister was married to 10 brothers. Now Draupadee is not a thing which can be divided. In the previous life Draupadee did a severe Tapasyaa and asked Mahaadev the Vardaan of a husband who should have five qualities - the staunch follower of Dharm, very mighty, archer like Parashuraam, who has lots of tolerance and should be the most handsome.

Mahaadev said to Draupadee - "So be it" but he thought and thought and could not find such a husband for her, so he gave her five husbands. There is nobody like Yudhishthir in following Dharm; there is nobody like Bheem in might; there is nobody like Arjun in archery; there is nobody as handsome as Nakul and there is nobody like Sahadev in tolerance.

And Arjun, you told lie to your mother, this is not good. Mother is the first Guru, therefore never say anything to her without thinking first. So now Draupadee, this marriage is your Tapasyaa as well as Praayashchit." After solving the problem Krishn went away

In Kaampilya Nagaree Raajaa Drupad and Dhrishtdyumn were just taken aback when a Braahman took Draupadee in spite of many Kshatriya mighty kings present there, so Drupad sent Dhrishtdyumn to follow them and find out about them. Dhrishtdyumn followed them an heard everything what Krishn said. He was very happy to hear that and immediately came back to his father and said - "Father, Don't worry, Draupadee is at right place. It is very happy moment that Paandav are alive."
