Greatness of Devee Puraan
When Shaunak etc Rishi asked Soot Jee - "O wise man, Now you tell us about that Purann in which Devee's greatness has been described in detail. If it is heard properly it can create Navadhaa Bhakti even in those people who have no Divine sight." Jaimini also asked Vyaas Jee in the same way, so Vyaas Jee said to him - "Hey Muni, Brahma Hatyaa like sins are attached to a person only till he does not hear Devee's life description. If somebody has committed even hundreds of sins, and if he listens her life description, even Yam Raaj falls on his feet. Which greatness cannot be described even by Shiv with his five mouths, who else is able to tell her greatness? Whoever reads, or listens to it with Bhakti and Shraddhaa, he becomes free from all kinds of sins and attains high status. In whoever's house this Puraan (Devee Puraan) is, no sorrow can come in it. Hey Jaimini, Who tells this Puraan sitting by Vishnu, his sins are destroyed at the same moment. And not only this his all accumulated sins are destroyed and he attains Moksh.."
