Miscellaneous Dosh

Amaavasyaa Dosh
When a Native is born on Amaavasyaa, he is said to have Amaavasyaa Dosh.

Gandant Dosh
Read it in detail
There are three types of Gandant Dosh. All the three Gandant are Mahaa-Kroor (most cruel) -

(1) Tithi Gandant,
Two Ghadee (48 minutes - 24 minutes in the first Tithi and 24 minutes in the other Tithi) period of the end of Poornaa Tithi (5, 10, 15); and the beginning of Nandaa Tithi (1, 6, 11)  means two Ghadee period of 15/1, 5/6, and 10/11 is called Tithi Gandant. This is called as Ghaatak (fatal) in birth, travel, Upanayan and marriage etc Sanskaar.

(2) Lagn Gandant
The half Ghaee (12 minutes) Sandhi time of the following Lagn are called Lagn Gandaant, and they are all Ghaatak (fatal).
The end of Kark Lagn and the beginning of the Sinh Lagn
The end of Vrishchik and the beginning of Dhanu Lagn
The end of Meen and the beginning of Mesh Lagn

(3) Nakshatra Gandant
The 4th Pad of Aashleshaa and the 1st Pad of Maghaa Nakshatra
16 Ghadee of the end of Jyeshthaa and the 1st Pad of Mool Nakshatra
11 Ghadee of Revatee and the 1st Pad of Ashwinee Nakshatra
Thus the Sandhi Kaal of these each two Nakshatra is called Nakshatra Gandant.

Kendraadhipati Dosh
It simply means that, if in Kendra Houses from Lagna (4, 7 and 10) a Benefic Planet is posited including his own sign, then the Planets may not be able to give required results during his MD or AD. This applies specifically to Venus as well strong Moon. However there are exceptions. Malefics in Kendra, in any case, are not considered for the purpose of Dosh.

Rajju Dosh
This Dosh is used while matching the charts of the bride and groom. Based on Nakahstra, the Rajju belongs to one of the following categories. Of these the first two are better and good over the other two categories. In any case avoid the same category of Nakshtra under the same category. Both boy and girl must be from different categories.
1. Pad Rajju
2. Kati Rajju
3. Kanta Rajju
4. Siro Rajju
This criteria helps for intimacy and for a long lasting relationship. It all depends on one's location and convenience. If you follow traditions as per your customs, such Dosh are taken care by way of Gauree Poojaa etc. One should always take advice of one's own Purohit. For cancellation of Rajju Dosh, it is always good to propitiate Jupiter, if marriage has been delayed. If married then, let your spouse propitiate Durgaa on Fridays and Saturdays.

Sankraanti Dosh?
When the Native is born a couple of hours before Sun changes his sign. it is called Sankraanti Dosh. In this case, the Dosh is called "Ghor Sankraanti Dosh".  Amaavasyaa Dosh and Sankraanti Dosh are not permitted to do in Temples. After the Poojaa, Purohit pour the Kalash water over the head of the native. Pouring water over the head is not permitted in the Temples. The Day Lord becames bad /worse to him.

The weekday Lord is the Sun, the Lagna lord. When there is Sankraanti Dosh in a chart, the significations and houses owned by the Lord of the weekday suffer. His Lagna Lord is the weekday Lord too. So it shows a life that is kind of like an uphill climbing. Its remedy is to do "Sankraanti Dosh Sandhi Hom". This is an inexpensive Hom that most qualified priests know about. If such a priest is not available who knows this Hom, then find a priest who knows Sanskrit and take "Brihat Paraashar Horaa Shaastra" (BPHS) to him. It is in its chapter 90 in Santhanam's version. Paraashar clearly described there how to do this Hom. If you take BPHS to a priest, he should be able to read it and figure out how to do the Hom..

Real remedy for Sankraanti Dosh is a very elaborate ritual and has to be performed by a competent priest only. Alternatively, recite --
Nava Graha Stotra written by Vyaas Jee followed by Mrityunjaya Mantra (108 x 2 times daily for 40 days).
