114-One Cannot Please Everybody

Once a father and his young son decided to go over to a near by place using donkey for riding. Both were talking to each other and following the donkey lazily.

A passerby said to them - "Your donkey is going just like that. It is for riding so why don't one of you ride on it?" Father and son thought it was logical. Father thought that he was elder he should allow his young son to ride it, so he asked his son to ride it and he himself followed him.

Now the young son was on the donkey, and father was walking along with it. They met another person, he saw them going ,like this so he said to them - "This old father is walking and the young son is enjoying the ride?" Hearing this the son got down and he let his father got on the donkey. Thus now the father was on the donkey and the son was going along with it.

Then they met another passerby. He said - "What is the need for the father to ride and the son walking with it. The donkey can carry both." They thought he was saying correct so both of them rode the donkey.

They met another passerby who said to them - "These people are very cruel. They bother are riding on that poor animal. How can that poor donkey carry two people? It may loose its life itself. It is better the donkey is carried by the two." Hearing this, they got a big rod, tied the donkey to it and father and son started carrying the donkey.

Now they met another passerby who said - "How foolish these father and son are. Donkeys carry people; and here stupid father and son are carrying the donkey…." This time the father and son were tired of hearing people's comments and following them so they decided to walk with donkey.

They met another passerby who commented - "How foolish you are? You appear to be tired. Why don't you ride on the donkey and go home. Why are you walking along with it?" But by that time they had reached their home.

It Different people will talk different ways. It is for us to decide what to do? You cannot please everybody.

THE END
