19-Caring For His Employee

There were about 70 scientists working on a very hectic project. All of them were very frustrated due to the pressure of work and the demands of their boss, but everyone was loyal to him and did not think of quitting the job.

One day one scientist came to his boss and said to him - "Sir, Today I have promised my children to take them to the ongoing exhibition in our township, so I want to leave the office at 5.30 pm."
His boss said - "OK, You may go at 5.30 pm today."

The scientist started working. He got so much involved in working that he forgot the time, and when he completed his work, and he looked at his watch - it was after 8.30 pm. Suddenly he remembered his promise made to his children, he looked at his boss, but he did no find him there. He had already gone. Deep within his heart he was feeling guilty to disappoint his children, but nothing could be done now, so he closed his office and came back to his home.

He found his wife alone reading magazine, he could not see his children around. He could not speak because of guilt of not taking his children to exhibition.
Seeing him coming in his wife asked him - "Would you like to have some coffee or shall I serve you dinner right away if you are hungry?"
The man replied - "If you would like to have coffee, I would also take it, but what about the children? Where are they?"
The wife replied - "You don't know? Your manager came here at 5.15 pm and took the children out to exhibition."
The man took a sigh of relief.

What happened that when his manager saw that he was very busy and he would not leave his work until he would finish it, so he left the office at 5.00 pm, went to his home and took his children to exhibition.
That is why all the scientists at Thumba continued to work under their boss even when under the tremendous stress.

[Can you guess who the boss was?  He was APJ Abdul Kalam , the former President of India.]
