Maya Sabhaa was built by Maya Daanv for Yudhishthir, to show his gratitude to
Arjun for saving him from Khaandav Van fire. Krishn asked him "to build it in
such a way that nobody on Prithvi could copy it even after examining it with
great care. Build that mansion in which that we may behold a combination of
godly, Aasurik and human designs." Sudharmaa Sabhaa of Dwarakaa for King Ugrasen,
was buil by Vishwakarmaa. Maya Sabhaa surpassed even that Sudharmaa Sabhaa and even
the mansion of Brahmaa Jee also.
8,000 Raakshas women used to guard that
palace day and night. Within that palace, Maya built a tank, in which there were
lotuses with dark colored leaves and bright colored gem stalks; and many
varieties of water fowls. Artificial forest was spreading its fragrance all
around. It took him 14 months to build that court. It was built in 2,500 square
yards land. It was built so cleverly that
one could see only the glow of gems, not the gems themselves unless somebody
really tried hard to see them.
Similarities between Bheeshm and Karn?
--Both are born Divine - one from Gangaa and another from Soorya
--Both are disciples of Parashuraam.
--Both are advisors to the Hastinaapur court in their own ways - Bheeshm to
the representative monarch and Karn to the actual ruler
--Both are Commander-in-Chief of the Kaurav army in turn.
--Both are regarded major hindrances in Paandav's victory.
