8-MBH Story: If....
The Mahaabhaarat story would have been different if....
Hear are some incidents which if they had not happened, the
history of Bhaarat would have been different...
These incidents are not natural, all of them happened by choice, thus they
show how making choice in life affects even the nation as a whole..
What Would Have Happened...
If Shaantanu did not agree with Gangaa's condition
of "whatever I will do, you will never ask me anything about it."....
[the first child would have lived, there might not be
any Bheeshm etc etc....]
If Bheeshm had not taken vow to renounce the
kingdom and to remain lifelong bachelor to marry his father Shaantanu to
Satyavatee's father...
[Bheeshm would have his own children and Shaantanu's
other children would not have been there at all etc etc...]
If Bheeshm had not stuck to his vows....
[The whole history and geography of Bhaarat would
have been different...]
If Bheeshm did not abduct Kaashee's three
princesses - Ambaa, Ambikaa and Ambaalikaa for his stepbrother, and Ambaa
would not have vowed to be born as the cause of the death of Bheeshm...
[Shikhandee would not have been born, Bheeshm would not
have kept his weapons.. etc etc]
If Ambikaa did not close her eyes at the meeting
with Ved Vyaas to have a child.... she did not have a blind son....
[And Dhritraashtra would have been the King and there might
not be any war or anything, because he himself would have been the King of Hastinaapur
and his children would also be eligible to sit on the throne.... etc etc]
If Gaandhaaree did not tie the cloth strip
on her eyes...
[She could see everything, and perhaps could take
better decision than following her husband blindly... etc etc]
If Paandu had not killed the Rishi in the forest....
[He would have his own children and you never know what type
of those children would have been... etc etc]
The first Dice Game was all right, but after knowing
everything, the cheating and bad intention of Duryodhan,
If Yudhishthir had not played the second Dice Game....
[Why should they have to go to forest for 13 years... and their
further course of life should have been quite different... etc etc]
If Bheeshm had not told the secret of his death...
[Bheeshm could not be felled.... and
then what would have happened, nobody knows...
Bheeshm would have never died, He had never killed Paandav as per his
condition set before war, Drone had never become the Chief Commander, Karn
had never got a chance to fight not only with Arjun but even to fight at
all... etc etc]
If Jayadrath had not abducted Draupadee in
exile, and not been released on the mercy of Yudhishthir, and had not gone
for penance for Shiv and had not asked the boon to defeat Paandav....
[Abhimanyu had not gone to break Chakra Vyooh and had not been killed by six
great warriors...]
Or If Yudhishthir had not forgiven Jayadrath
and killed him....
[What Kaurav might have done to Paandav
to take revenge of their brother-in-law's killing......]
The first time Paandav broke the rule of war, by
shooting arrows on weaponless Bheeshm... If they had not done so...
Bheeshm would have never died, He had
never killed Paandav as per his condition set before war, Drone had never become
the Chief Commander, Karn had never got a chance to fight not only with Arjun but
even to fight at all... etc etc]
If Yudhishthir had not told lie to Drone
that "Ashwatthaamaa died"
[Drone might have not put down his
weapons.... you never know how many more soldiers he might have killed
and where the Paandav would have stood....]
