Episode 71
Vaayu Fight Between Chief and Chandragupt
Chaanakya said to Chandragupt - This is your first step towards your vow, my vow, and atrocities of Nand, so do not make any mistake. Most important weapon is Gati (movement). First understand his Gati, then stunt him with your own Gati, and defeat him. Remember, Your object is not to defeat him, but to develop love and respect in his heart for you. That is how you will collect such soldiers who can love you and who can die for you. We cannot collect so large army as Nand's, but if soldiers love you they can die for you.

Both Chandragupt and Chief got ready for Vaayu fight. The Chief said - "Listen to the rules of this Vaayu fight - who will take that conch kept on that mountain top and blow it first, he will be the winner, and the winner will be free to kill the loser." Both started running to reach that mountain top. On the way, the Chief hurt him, pushed him to stop reachimg the mountain top before him, but once he himself fell. Chandragupt also stopped and gave him a hand to get up, but the Chief knew that now he would not be able to reach his destination so accepting his defeat, he told Chandragupt to go and blow the conch. Chandragupt's objective, as advised by Chaanakya, was not to defeat him, but to develop love and respect, so he did not leave him on the way. He stayed there till he did not get up. Then, in spite of his insistence that Chandragupt should blow the conch he asked him to blow the conch, and said - "You are still the Chief of your tribe, this is your motherland, nobody can take your place, so blow the conch and tell your people that their Chief is still their Chief." Chief was very impressed with his behavior, Chandragupt had won his heart. Chief promised to help him in achieving his objective.

A tribe man came and said - "What we should do of this message of Magadh?"
"Severe his head and send it to Magadh."
Chaanakya said - "I have a plan." and he told the plan to Chief. The messenger was sent back to Magadh with that message.
The messenger said to Nand - "They have said that "We accept the proposal, we have arrested Chaanakya and Chandragupt but we need double the gold."
Nand said - "No problem, give them as much gold as they want but we want Chaanakya and Chandragupt."
Amaatya said - "We do not know whether they have Chaanakya and Chandragupt or not. Saamant has suggested but we can collect some beneficial information from them."

Chaanakya said - "Destiny, effort, and conscious, success depends on all the three. Just keep an eye on the aim, not anywhere else."

Why did you send the message that he has arrested us and he is ready to give us to them in exchange of gold." "We need gold to equip these people with food, and weapons etc. Bhadrasaal had already known that the Chief had Chaanakya and Chandragupt. So now they had to work out a plan that they can take Chaanakya and Chandragupt from them without giving them any gold. Clan people informed the danger. That time Magadh's messenger came with a message with three conditions - (1) the exchange will take place outside the forest, (2) first we will see them, (3) both will go simultaneously. Chaanakya said - "Accept his all the conditions with our one condition that we will make this exchange at Western Karaalee Pass tomorrow in the afternoon. Aharyaa (Chief) should also get ready to take revenge of his brother.

Messenger returned to Nand and told him that Akhnavee have agreed on their all the conditions, but Amaatya was not sure of this plan, while Bhadrasaal was sure. Amaatya said - "Remember that this is Royal treasury. If it is misused anywhere, or if we could not get our enemies, you will be burnt alive.

Chaanakya said - This Bhadrasaal is very cunning. He always bags three alternatives." "But your life is in danger in this plan." "But we have to protect their lives too, their trust in us too, however risky is the plan."

Episode 71
Chief Deceives Bhadrasaal
Amaatya and Bhadrasaal came to exchange gold with the Chief for Chaanakya and Chandragupt. Chief asked Bhadrasaal to order his soldiers to put their weapons down and go back three steps behind. Bhadrasaal ordered this. Chief asked the money, Bhadrasaal gave the money boxes and asked him to hand over Chaanakya and Chandragupt to him. Chief asked him to keep that gold in a hut. Bhadrasaal did not trust him so he sent his men to inspect the hut and after making sure that the hut was safe, his people took those boxes to that hut. Now in that hut there was a tunnel, so as the boxes of gold were kept there CHief's people came from that tunnel and took away the boxes. When they came out at the other end of he tunnel, Sukhadaa, the Chief's nephew was not found anywhere and nobody had seen him anywhere. Chaanakya ignored him and took the gold away from there.

Amaatya was always opposing his plans and ideas, but Bhadrasaal was very sure about his plans. Amaatya challenged Bhadrasaal that if anyhow the Royal gold got lost he would not let him live. Chief also showed him Chaanakya and Chandragupt and asked Chaanakya and Chandragupt to come there. They came there. At the same time Chief ordered his people to run from there.

Bhadrasaal ordered his people to guard the gold in the hut, but the gold was not there. They found a tunnel there, Bhadrasaal ordered them to enter the tunnel and look for Chief's people and get that gold back. They entered the tunnel but all were killed. Chief's people took away the gold. Bhadrasaal and Amaatya came back without Chaanakya and Chandragupt. When Nand saw them coming without Chaanakya and Chandragupt he filled with rage and got ready to kill Bhadrasaal. Bhadrasaal said with cool mind - "You may kill me if you want, but your gold is safe. I had exchanged the real gold with fake gold, and I have a trusted spy in Chief's camp who gives me all news from there."

Nand asked - "But how are we going to arrest Chaankaya and Chandragupt?" Bhadrasaal said - "O King, The way we want to arrest them, it is not the way to arrest them. Think who love gold as more than their lives, why they should join Chaanakya and Chandragupt and they did not hand over them to us? If you still trust me, then allow me to take this real gold to Sahaal (Magadh's one province whose Bhadrasaal was the Saamant) and from there I will operate on my scheme." Nand agreed and allowed him to take that gold to Sahaal. With the help of my spy, now Chaanakya will do what I want, not what he wants.

Bhadrasaal's spy was the Chief's brother's son - Sukhadaa. He came to Chief and Chaanakya and informed them that the gold in the boxes was fake. Hearing this Chief filled with rage. Chaanakya consoled him - "Don't be angry. Anger is the enemy of the wisdom. We should act with calm kind." Chaanakya asked him - "Where were you?"   "I was here around."   "And how do you know that this gold is fake?"  "I overheard Bhadrasaal talking to Amaatya that he had exchanged the real gold with fake gold before giving to us. We have to get that gold now." Chief said - "I will go to Sahaal and kill him. I will take this my nephew and go there." Chaanakya said - "No, You will not take him with you. if you will take him then who will take care of your clan? You take Chandragupt with you and leave this nephew of yours here. He knows all the paths and ways of this forest also." So the Chief set off on his journey to Sahaal with Chandragupt.

At the time of going Chaanakya warned Chandragupt about Bhadrasaal that "Our enemy is very clever. You should behave as if you don't know his traps, but as you feel that he has trusted you, you should play your own game stunning him." Then he gave a bag of coins to him saying that "This will help you to meet Bhadrasaal there." He gave him two coins more, and said - "Keep them. When you are surrounded by all kinds of odds and find no escape, use these."

At the same time some people reported that Magadh's soldiers have surrounded the forest. Chief and Chandragupt somehow escaped from there. Chaanakya called all the tribe people and said - "I will choose 5 people from you and take them onto the peak of a hill and will meditate there. Do not tell anybody about this plan. Whoever will leak it out, he will be regarded as a traitor. Other people may hide in bushes in dark." he further said to those 5 people - "In this plan you might be killed, so go to your people and meet them before you go on the top of the hill. Maybe you don't get chance to see them again."

Episode 72
Sukhadaa instigated Chaanakya to tell him his plan so that he could help him in carrying it out, but Chaanakya did not tell him, he said - "You can win the war, but a teacher makes an ordinary person to be able to fight. Learn to control your thoughts, thoughts become the speech, speech turn into actions, actions make habit, habits form character and your character builds your Destiny. If your thoughts are evil, your Destiny will be dark." Sukhadaa got very angry at this, he vowed in his heart - "Let me see who saves this Braahman?"

Chandragupt Meets Shashaank
Chief and Chandragupt came to Sahaal and looked for the place where Chaanakya asked them to go. But when they saw the place they were surprised to see it, it looked like a bar. Why should he send them here? But when he had sent them here what they could do, so Chief said - "What I will do inside. Chandragupt, You go inside, I wait outside. If I feel something odd I will come inside." So Chandragupt went inside. he found some girls dancing and two people playing dice game. One of them asked the other to leave and invited Chandragupt to play with him. Although Chandragupt first refused to play with him but then on his challenge he started playing with his that bag which Chaanakya gave to him. The condition was who had the greater number on a dice throw, he would win. The dice was thrown and Chandragupt lost. The man invited him again, so Chandragupt played again with those the coins. This time the condition was that if the man won, Chandragupt would be his slave and if Chandragupt won, the man would return his money. Chandragupt agreed and the dice were thrown gain and Chandragupt again lost. This time Chandragupt got angry and he shouted - "You are a cheat. You are playing with some other dice and you are showing some other dice." The man said - "This is Laakhaa's bar. Whatever I want the same happens here. What is your name?"

At the same time, the Chief entered the room and said - "You were quite late, so I came in." Chandragupt asked that man to send his men out of that room. He sent them out, Chandragupt again said - "Don't fear, I do not attack people without arms." The man said - "I know that you are Chandragupt Maurya and you don't attack people without weapons." Chandragupt got very surprised to hear this as nobody knew him by this name, so he asked him - "How do you know so much about me?" The man again said - "You are the one to whom Nand has been looking for?" Chief was also surprised to hear all this. Chandragupt kept his dagger on the man's neck. the man said - "We have heard that you don't attack the people without weapons." Chandragupt removed the dagger from his neck.

The man said - "Remember, I was the cause of your death, but you saved my life. I am known here as Laakhaa. Chandragupt, I am Shashaank - your childhood friend. Aachaarya has sent you to meet me only. Years before Aachaarya sent me to Paataliputra, and by his order only I live here with my changed identity (name change). A little while ago Aachaarya sent a message to me through Badar Bhatt that I should come to Sahaal. Before we, Shashaank, Digvijaya, Aaditya and Chandragupt were living separately. Tell me how have you come here?" Chandragupt said - "Bhadrasaal ahs brought gold here and has hidden it here, Aachaarya has sent me to bring that gold."

Chaanakya took those five people onto the top of the hill and asked them to convert them into his form. He said - "I am going to that cave to write a letter to the Chief about the spy who has been informing about us." Sukhadaa was hearing all this. So Sukhadaa followed Chaanakya in the cave. Chaanakya said - "Sukhadaa, You are the one who has been informing about us." Sukhadaa took out his axe and wanted to kill Chaanakya but Chaanakya held his hand and said to him - "Sukhadaa, You think that there is no power in a teacher's words and knowledge, then I show you the power of a teacher's words and knowledge." After saying that he sat down and started reciting some Mantra. As he recited them, their sound entered in Sukhadaa's mind and he fell down. Chaanakya said to him - "You might have thought a miracle, but this the knowledge of words and speech. If you had known about that, that if you made any sound in that cave, it will amplify it hundred times and the person will be sick of that. Besides its one side wall was so light that it could fall anytime. He also told that if he cared to educate himself he should have also known about the geographical information about that forest. Then he asked the clan people to arrest him so that when the Chief comes, he can decide his fate.

Shashaank brought Chandragupt to Bhadrasaal's court. he told Chandragupt that Bhadrasaal was lot more cunning and clever. The Princess Durdharaa (daughrer of Nand) was coming to Sahaal after 14 year to see her Naanee (grandmother), so Bhdrasaal was busy in making arrangements for her. he loved her and wanted to marry her. His plan was that he would hand over Chaanakya and Chandragupt to Nand and would ask Durdharaa's hand in return. So Bhadrasaal called Laakhaa and appointed him as the Chief security guard of the gold. And Shashaank was thinking that why Bhdrasaal had assigned this job to him only? Does he know everything, or he is just deceiving us. Chief said - "If Bhadrasaal had hidden the gold in his palace then it is very difficult to take it out."

Episode 73
Bhadrasaal asks Shashaank to bring his best soldiers to guard the gold, so Shahaank brings a few to him. He brings Chandragupt and Chief also with them. Bhadrasaal examines them himself by fighting with them, and tests them for their disguise too. but when Bhadrasaal called Chief to fight with, Chandragupt objected it - "If you did not trust us, why did you call us here?" Bhadrasaal said - "Let me finish with you first." Chandragupt went to fight with him that Shashaank came in between and he stopped Bhadrasaal to fight with Chandragupt, and sent Chandragupt away after a fake beating. At the same time a person came and informed that the gold has come where should it be kept? Bhadrasaal sent his soldiers in search for Chandragupt. Chandragupt said to Chief to go in Bhadrasaal's palace and find out where the gold was kept." Chief was scared to go there alone but Chandragupt sent him there.

Durdharaa was coming to Sahaal to see her grandmother with her one trusted maid. She sets with her as what she has to do there. Durdharaa herself shows up like a maid of Durdharaa, and the she presents her maid as Durdharaa. Since nobody had seen Durdharaa, nobody can identify real Durdharaa. Nand asked Amaatya to send a message to Bhadrasaal that his daughter Durdharaa was coming to Sahaal and she must be well taken care of.

Durdharaa had come in the town. Bhadrasaal had made full arrangement for his staying because he had to ask Durdharaa's hand from Nand. Durdharaa saw Chandragupt on the way with his bold behavior. As they came to Bhadrasaal's palace, Durdharaa presented her maid as Durdharaa and herself as her maid.

Chaanakya untied their Shikhaa (tuft) and said to his 5 Chaanakya - "Nand knows that I am trapped here, but I want to trouble him. So you go in neighboring states in the form of Chaanakya and then get disappeared, this will make him confused that how can one see one Chaanakya at several places?" And thus he sent them around. Then he sent a message to Chandragupt also. Now they were seen by many people at the same time at different places. One person reported this to Bhadrasaal that he had spotted Chaanakya. Hearing this Bhadrasaal handed over Durdharaa to his servants to care of and he himself ran to see him.

On the other side Amaatya also told Nand that Chaanakya was seen outside the forest. Nand shouted - "Then what are you doing here, bring him here." Shashaank also heard this that Chaanakya was spotted. he got scared and said to Chandragupt to take of Aachaarya. CHandragupt consoled him - "Do not worry about Aachaary,. he can take care of himself." Chandragupt read Chaankay message also - "Mani is with snake and the snake is out of his burrow." Shashaank asked him its meaning. Chandragupt said - "It means that the gold is in the palace and Bhadrsaal is out of his palace today. So we have to do our work tonight only." Chandragupt and Shashaank come to the palace where Durdharaa sees Chandragupt.
