Chandragupt Accepts the Blame of Mixing Poison in the Food
Seleukas kept consoling Alexander that "it seems that this poison has come from
food."
Alexander said - "If that Braahman's prediction were true? Then is it not
pointing out to return home?"
Seleukas keeps reminding him - "You told that you wanted to rule the whole
world, then how can we go back?"
The Greek doctor came to Seleukas
and told him that his medicine was working but he did not have the treatment of
blind beliefs, so you have to make efforts to correct that. As that Braahman
forcast, somebody else should also should also forecast in the same way that
"this mission is all right". Seleukas asked him the way to do that. he told,
there is one sage here somewhere in hills. He has forecast that "a King will
come here and rule this land."
[He was sage Dandaayan]
Seleukas replied - "This is good. We will have to take Alexander there. Call
that Sakaalee boy Chandragupt ."
Alexander Meets
Sage Dandaayan
The morning broke. Chaanakya came out to give the Sanket. His army was also
ready.
Sukhdev and Aambheek were imprisoned, but they escaped by making some story.
They were going to Alexander to disclose the secret of Chandragupt. They came to
Alexander's camp, but they could not get the permission to enter it yet.
On the other side, Seleukas etc
were coming with the doctor to meet that sage. That doctor said to the sage -
"You once forecast that a King will come here who will rule the whole India, is
he present here?"
That sage was in the position of Sheershaasan (was standing upside down on his
head), so he stood straight.
Alexander also asked him - "Is he present here?"
The sage replied - "Yes, he is here."
Alexander thought that he was that King who would rule the whole India, but the
sage pointed towards Chandragupt who was standing a little far away from the
sage. He aid - "That Emperor is not you, but this boy who will rule this whole
India."
The then Aambhhek came there and
cried - "He is a traitor."
Hearing this Seleukas ran to kill Chandragupt. The sage said - "My forecast
cannot be a lie. He has taken birth only to rule."
Chandragupt came back and said to Chaankya - "Till now we had been fighting for
kings and now we will fight for our motherland."
Sukhdev and a soldier informed
Alexander that a revolution has taken place in the army camp. Seleukas ordered
to prepare his army for a fight.
Chaanakya was not worried about the defeat or victory, he was worried about the
result. Chandragupt said - "You have lost this battle, Aachaarya."
Chaanakya said - "This battle was not for victory, because yavan cannot be
defeated. It was only to break down their courage and mental power."
Chandragupt said - "Which mental power you are talking about? This army is
waiting for the orders of Alexander not to cross Vyaas River."
Chaanakya said - "We did our duty, now just wait for the results of our
Destiny."
Episode 58
Alexander is Dead
Yavan army was ready to cross Vyaas River after defeating Indian army, but Puru
and Calasthenese were sad. They felt that Seleukas was right and they both were
wrong.
Alexander said - "It was all conspiracy, it was not the anger of any Devtaa, we
will surely cross the Vyaas River." Saying this Alexander was about to fall. His
doctor came again. Nobody knew that what happened to Alexander, but he was
getting more sick day by day. His army wanted to go back, so Seleukas ordered it
to go back home.
Chandragupt asked - "Guru Jee,
When you have not pricked the thorn, then what happened to Alexander?"
Chaanakya said - "I don't know, maybe the food was poisonous."
Alexander said to Calisthenese -
"Your wish is fulfilled, you have proved that I am not the son of god. Whatever
you have done to me, I will never forgive you for that."
Calesthenese said - "I only did my duties of a friend." Alexander was very sad
on this whole affair.
Seleukas took a vow that he would fulfill Alexander's dream.
After some time Alexander died.
Some say that at one place he fought and died there, because he got severely
wounded there, coming to Babylon he died on the way.
Chaanakya said - "Alexander has gone, now is the turn of Dhanaanand. Now the
time has come to go to Paataliputra.
nand said - "If Magadh does not
get the tax, then...?"
Amaatya said - "Why should they pay the security tax to Magadh, because
Alexander is now dead, and Yavan have left."
Nand said - "But, perhaps, they do not know that if they did not pay tax to
Magadh, Nand can do much more worse than Yavans."
Political situations were
changing, so Chaanakya invited all to Gurukul of Takshshilaa. He said to all of
them - "Alexandrer has died. Nobody trusts Kshatrap, so you all become united so
that the foreign power cannot attack us. Magadh will be ruled by a central King
and local states will be ruled by local kings." During this conversation,
Chaanakya felt that all kings were power hungry and did not care much about the
United India. His dreams began to shatter, still he had a ray of hope.
Chaanakya Goes on a
Journey
Chaanakya thought that the Kings who showed the unity to fight with Yavan
before, it is not there now, so he got disappointed. So he found only one way -
that was to rule Magadh. Chandragupt said - "When the ruling power feeling
becomes more powerful in the mind, the importance of the personality goes down.
It should not be with me too."
Chaanakya aid - "Now we will not go to Paataliputra direct, we will first go
somewhere else.. If there is any difficult question, it should be examined from
the beginning. Now we will go on a journey.
Nand Knows About Coming
of Chaanakya
Amaatya told Nand that the border countries have refused to pay security tax to
Magadh. Nand said - "Then you crush those kings in this way that they forget
about being the king. If Alexander had been here, he would have made them his
slaves, so we also make them our slave. You just have to make one king your
slave, other kings themselves will be frightened."
At the same time a man came and
informed that an Aachaarya ahd come from the Gurukul of Takshshilaa. nand
thought that he should be Chaanakya, but he was Sukhdev. Nand took out his
sword. Sukhdev said - "My name is Sukhdev and i am an Aachaarya at Gurukul of
Takshshilaa. I am a counselor to Gaandhaar's King. I am also as big enemy of
Chaanakya, as you are. I have the information that Chaanakya is coming to
Paataliputra with Chandragupt. And he is coming with the vow to destroy you."
Nand ordered - "Revive all tactics to catch Chaanakya."
Episode 59
Chaanakya said - "Chandragupt, Whatever we do, the same becomes our Destiny. You
start this journey in this way as if you are looking not at your life but
somebody else's life. In Magadh, first crop is to be given to the King as the
tax, and then the same crop has to bought for one's family as one's food."
Chandragupt sees some people in scanty clothes. Chaanakya tells him that
Magadh's cotton is sold to foreign countries, so Chandragupt gives one man his
own cloth. Seeing all this Chandragupt recollects his own life passed as a
prisoner.
Chandragupt Meets
Birajoo, Frees All Slaves
Chandragupt sees a person there who introduces him as Birajoo, his friend of
that prisoner's life. When he saw Birajoo, the master (the master of those
slaves where he also lived once) was beating him with a whip, Chandragupt
stopped the beating by holding his whip.
The master asked - "Who are you?" "I am Chandraggupt." and then Chandragupt
asked him to free all other slaves.
The master said - "But I need 10 times wealth to free them." Chandragupt did not
have so much money so he went away.
Chaanakya said - "Let us move
soon. We have to reach inside the city before dark, otherwise its gate is
closed."
Chandragupt asked - "Can we stay here for a night?"
Chaanakya asked - "Yes, But what do you want to do?"
Chandragupt replied - "We don't have money to give to that master, but we will
have to do something for them, otherwise I will not be able to forgive myself."
Chaanakya said - "Chandragupt, You
don't have money to give this hunter (master)."
Chandragupt gave his Baajooband (an ornament to be worn on upper arm) to that
master and said - "You will get more than 10 times money after selling this."
Chaanakya said - "What are you doing Chandragupt? This is the last thing of your
mother."
Chandragupt aid - ?My mother used to say that things are gone forever, but
memories stay forever."
Chaanakya saaid - "But from this you could by lots of conforts in Paataliputra."
Chandragupt said - "I don't need those comforts. If I did not free them, my
dream would have been incomplete."
The master said - "But you have to
pay me my old account too."
Chandragupt said - "Which one?"
Master said - "You made me fool on that day."
Chandragupt wanted to finish with this master so he said, "all right. What do
you want?"
Master said - "I will whip you 100 times, so get 100 whips from me and take
these slaves."
CHandragupt got ready and the master started whipping him. All were looking at
him. Birajoo could not see this whipping, he came in between and said to the
master - "Don't beat him, you may beat me." Master freed all of them.
Birajoo aid - "Today you have put me in confusion by freeing me. Now how I will
live without you. You have ade me your slave."
Chaanakya also blessed him.
Sukhdev said to Nand - "Whoever
kings nave surrendered to Alexander, if we could control them, we had like it."
Amaatya ordered Sukhdev to go and kept a lots of gold in his chariot. Sukhdev
went away saying that if Nand needed his services to catch Chaanakya he could
call him.
Nand asked Amaatya - "Amaatya, Why did you do so?"
Amaatya said - "Mahaaraaj, When he was not of his own people, how could he be
ours?"
Amaatya brought a man and said to Nand - "This man will help us to catch
Chaanakya. Now the prey himself has come in the net." And this was his helper
who had those slaves (master). He was beating Birajoo, that Chandragupt again
held his hand. The master said to him - "If you have brought the money, it is
all right, otherwise go away from here."
Episode 60
Chandragupt Comes to His Village
Amaatya said to Nand - "Our spies will arrest Chaanakya and Chandragupt soon."
But they could not find Chaanakya and Chandragupt. Chaanakya and Chandragupt
came to Chandragupt's village, but that village was not the same village as
Chandragupt left it long time ago. There was nobody there.
Chandragupt asked Chaanakya -
"Does the ruling power makes all people spoilt? Will I not be heartless (cruel)
after being the king?"
Chaanakya said - "You are not like others. You have been born in a poor family
who remembers the sorrows of his own people, he does not get spoilt in the
madness of his ruling power, he wishes to see all happy and comfortable. That is
why you get ready to give the last thing of your mother. Whom you even do not
know, you get ready to be whipped for them. You can never be spoilt."
Chaanakya is Abducted by
Amaatya's Spies
Chandragupt was sleeping that he saw Chaanakya in his dream to be carried by
somebody, He woke up and asks Birajoo that everything was all right? Birajoo
tells him that everything was all right. Chandragupt sits at the feet of
Chaanakya. Chaanakya also wakes up. Chandragupt recollects all his life from the
beginning till now - "What I was, what you have made me now? You are more than
my parents. What you have done for me, nobody does even for his own people."
Chaanakya said - "If something has happened to me, you take care for yourself,
because the true knowledge is under the feet of Guru."
At the same time somebody made Chaanakya unconscious and took him on a cart.
There were some other people who were fighting with Chandragupt. Birajoo had
done all this. Amaatya had given lots of money to Birajoo to inform about
Chaanakya and Chandragupt to him. Birajoo had pushed Chandragupt in a well.
Those people brought Chaanakya in
the palace. Nand was very happy, he said to Chaanakya - "Now you will be
destroyed soon and certainly."
Chaanakya said - "It might also be possible that my bringing here will cause
your destruction [not mine]. Do you reember that one day I was standing here,
begging to you and you threw me out of the palace. So it seems that the time has
come for the end of your cruel rule. Your rule is a bad rule, because you don't
care for your people, so the same people will destroy you. Now a new king will
come."
Nand asked - "Which king will
come? Chandragupt? He is already dead. And you ay that you are not an
individual, you are a thought and a thought cannot be killed. We will see. O
Amaatya, Make the announcement of his public execution. Now we will see who will
come to save him?"
Chaanakya said - "Chandragupt will come, he will surely come."
Morning broke and Chandragupt came
out of the well.
