Here are listed some strange curses, nobody curses his or her own children but here these people have cursed there own children, or the children have cursed their parents  ---

Parents-Children or Husbands-Wives Curses

(1) Arun Curses His Mother Vinataa: Why Vinataa Served Kadroo?
Both Kadroo and Vinataa were Kashyap Jee's wives. ONce both asked the boon to have children. When Kashyap Jee asked, Kadroo asked for 1000 Naag of equal splendor and strength; while Vinataa asked for two children, but greater than Kadroo's in valor, longevity, size of body etc. Kashyap Jee said, "So be it." and he said to Kadroo - "Keep your embryos carefully." and went away. When the time came Kadroo gave birth to 1,000 eggs and Vinataa two eggs. After 500 years Kadroo's eggs broke and 1,000 snakes appeared from them. But Vinataa's eggs were not broken yet. She got jealous of her sister and she forcefully broke her one egg. She was surprised to see that her child had his upper body part developed but the lower body part undeveloped. At this her child cursed her - "You will have to serve your sister as a slave. If you wait for 500 years more, and not break the other egg, he will deliver you from your slavery. And if you want to have the child strong, you should take care of the egg very well." and he flew in the sky. O Braahman, He became the charioteer of Soorya Dev (Arun), you can see him every morning coming before Soorya Dev. After 500 years of care the second egg broke and Garud Jee came out of it. As he saw the light, he left his mother and went out to look for food for himself."

(3) Kadroo Curses Her Snake Sons
Kadroo was one of the 13 wives of Maharshi Kashyap. She gave birth to many snakes. Once she saw Uchchashraivaa horse in the sky and betted her sister Vinataa, another wife of Kashyap Jee, that what was the color of the tail of that horse. If Vinataa was correct she would serve Kadroo as her slave, and if Kadroo will win, Kadroo will serve Vnataa as her slave. Since Vinataa was sure of the color of the tail of the horse, she said - "Its color is white." and was satisfied with her answer.  But Kadroo insisted that it was not white but it was black. By the time they could confirm it the horse had flown away. So Kadroo suggested that they will confirm it next day when the horse will come again in the sky.

Now Kadroo did not want to lose, so she asked her snake sons to cling to the tail of the horse so that it could look black and she could win the bet, otherwise she would have to serve her sister as her slave. But her sons said - "We will not cheat like this whether you win or lose. To win by cheating is A-Dharm." Kadroo got angry and she cursed - "You are disobeying me, so I curse you that Janamejaya, born in Paandav Kul, will do a Sarp Yagya (a Yagya in which he will offer the Aahuti of snakes) and you all will burn in that fire."

(4) Mareechi Curses His Wife Dharmvrataa
Read this story at  Agni Puraan, 10 under Gayaa Teerth. Dharm had a daughter named Dharmvrataa from his wife named Dharmvatee. She was a great ascetic. Brahmaa's son Mareechi married her. As he was enjoying with her, that one day Maharshi got tired after bringing flowers and Kushaa from the forest. He took his food and asked his wife to massage his feet. Dharmvrataa started massaging Mareechi's feet. Muni slept. At that time Brahmaa Jee came there. Dharmvrataa thought, "What should I do? Should I continue with Muni's service or worship Brahmaa Jee? Brahmaa Jee is the Guru of Guru, he is the Guru of my husband also, so I should worship Brahmaa Jee first."

Thinking thus she rose and worshipped Brahmaa Jee. In the meantime, Mareechi woke up and did not find his wife there. He got furious and cursed her - "You become a stone." Hearing this Dharmvrataa also got angry and said - "Hey Muni, I am innocent because leaving your service, I have served your father. You have cursed me in this situation, you will also be cursed by Shiv Jee." Saying thus, that Pativrataa kept Muni's Shaap at one side and entered the fire. She performed severe penance for thousands of years. Pleased with her Vishnu etc Devtaa asked her to ask for any boon. She said - "Please, Free me from my curse."

Devtaa said - "Devee, Curse by Maharshi Mareechi cannot go waste, but from our footprints you will become a holy stone. You will have to assume the form of stone to stabilize Gayaasur's body. At that time you will be called as Devavrataa, Dev Shilaa, Sarv Dev Swaroopaa, Sarv Teerthmayee and Punya Shilaa." Dharmvrataa said - "If you are so pleased with me, then I ask that after I become a stone, all Vishnu, Brahmaa and Rudra etc Devtaa and Lakshmee, Gauree etc Devee should always live on me." All Devta said, "So be it." and went away.

(6) Uddaalak Curses His Son Ashtaavakra
Uddaalak  was a famous disciple of Dhaumya Rishi. He was the son of Aaruni. He himself had two sons - Shwetaketu and Nachiketaa and a daughter Sujaataa. Uddaalak had a very dear disciple named Kaahod whom he liked very much, so he married his daughter to Kaahid. Kaahod also ran an Aashram. As the time went on she became pregnant. She wanted that her child should possess good qualities so she used to sit in the class of her husband. Kaahod mispronounced Ved Mantra eight times, and all the eight times the unborn baby of Kaahod warned his father that his pronunciation was incorrect. Kaahod was fed up of this insult in front of his class so he cursed him - "You will be born deformed with 8 places of your body." So when the child was born he was slanted from eight places of his body - two feet, two knees, two hands and chest and head. That is how he was named as Ashtaavakra.
