(2) Vaamdev Who had Vaamya Horses
There was another Vaamdev Rishi. This Vaamdev is a Vaidik Rishi. His father's name was Ushij. He is the seer of some Sookt which are collected in Rig Ved, 4th Mandal. He owned two very fast running horses named Vaamya. This story comes in Mahaabhaarat, 4/35 - Story of Pareekshit. Maarkandeya Jee tells this story to Paandav, while they are in forest, Arjun is in Swarg to take divine weapons, Maarkandeya Muni comes in and both Yudhshthir and Maarkandeya Muni have a long dialog.
