Kripee

Kripaa and Kripee were the children of Maharshi Sharadwaan and the Apsaraa Urvashee. Urvashee left for Swarg, after giving  birth to these children on Prithvi. Once Raajaa Shaantanu was on his praying spree, that he saw two children crying on a Kush Aasan under a tree. Raajaa considered it his duty to take care of any orphan in his kingdom so he brought them to his palace and gave them to his Kul Guru to bring them up. He named them Kripaa and Kripee because he got them by the Kripaa (kindness) of Bhagvaan. When they grew up Kripaachaarya Jee became Kul Guru of Kaurav family and Kripee was married to Dronaachaarya Jee. Kripee had a son named Ashwatthaamaa.

Kripee is Sheetalaa Maataa
Legend says that Rishi Sharadwaan had two children. Thinking that the two would disturb him in his worship he leaves them in the the jungle. Bheeshm's father, King Shaantanu, comes across the two children and recognizes them as Rishi children as they were lying on an Kush Aasan and a deer skin and a bow and arrow were also kept near them. The King took them with him and looked after them. On hearing this, Rishi Sharadwan came and collects the children from the king. As the children grew under the kindness (Kripaa) of King Shaantanu, the daughter was named as Kripee and the son as Kripaachaarya. Kripee was married to Guru Dronaachaarya and she was made to stay on the banks of the pond at Gudgaaon, while the Guru was staying in Hastinaapur training the Kaurav and Paandav. Kripee due to her penance, became a mother like figure to all. Later this Kripee became Maataa Sheetalaa Devee.
