64-Story of Raajaa Nrig

Shuk Dev Jee said - "One day Yadu princes - Saamb, Pradyumn, Chaarubhaanu and Gad etc went to a garden. After some time they felt thirsty so they looked for water. They found a well but there was no water in it, but there was a strange looking animal. It was a chameleon of the shape of a mountain. They were very surprised to see that. They tried to take it out but could not succeed. They told this to Shree Krishn. He came to that well and took it out. As He touched the chameleon he became a Devtaa. Although Shree Krishn knew who he was, but to tell that story to others He asked him - "You are very handsome. Who are you? Certainly you are a Devtaa. Which Karm brought you in this Yoni (species)? You are not worthy to this Yoni. Please tell us your story, if you think proper."

Then Raajaa Nrig bowed and greeted Krishn and said - "I am the King Nrig of Ikshwaaku Vansh. Whenever you would have heard the list of donors, you must have heard my name also. You know everything - past, present, future. Still I tell you my story to obey you. Whatever number of dust particles are on Prithvi, whatever number of streams fall in rain, whatever number of stars are in the sky, I donated the same number of cows. They were all very good cows. Their horns were gold plated, their feet were silver plated, they were all decorated with clothes and jewelry. Since the young age, I used to donate clothes, jewelry and cows to good Braahman sons who were of good character, or were in trouble. Thus I donated many cows, land, gold, houses, elephants, silver beds, chariots etc and dug wells and ponds and did many Yagya.

One day a Braahman did not accept the donation of my cow. Rather his cow got mixed up with my cows. I could not know this. By mistake, it was donated to another person among other cows. When that Braahman was taking his cow, the owner of that cow told him that it was his cow. The Braahman to whom it was donated, said - "It is mine. I have taken it from Raajaa Nrig." Both came to me and told their story. I got confused, so I said to them - "I will give you 100,000 cows, but you give this cow to me. This is my mistake committed unknowingly. Please be kind to me and save me from Narak." "I will not take anything in exchange of this." said its owner and went away.  "Whether you give me 100,000 or 1,000 or 2 cows, but I will not take any." The other Braahman (to whom it was donated) said, this and he also went away.

At the end of my age, Yam Paarshad came and took me to Yam Puree, there Yam Raaj asked me - "You want to enjoy your Punya first or Paap? Because of your donations and Dharm you will get such a Lok which has no limits." I said - "I want to bear the fruits of my Paap first." Yam Raaj said immediately - "You fall down."  And as he said thus, I started falling down and I saw that I had become a chameleon. Prabhu, I was your devotee and used to serve Braahman, so I had one wish only that I should see you. Now please permit me to go, and be so kind that I should always remember your lotus feet." Then Raajaa circumambulated Him, touched His feet with his crown, climbed up his Vimaan and went away.

Then to educate His family members, Krishn said - "Who are like Agni, they also cannot digest even a smallest amount of Braahman's wealth. I do not consider the Halaahal Vish as poison, because it can be treated, but in fact Braahman's wealth is the greatest poison, because it cannot be digested and it cannot be treated by any medicine. And if somebody enjoys Braahman's wealth without his consent then it destroys three generations (till his grandson), and if it is enjoyed forcefully then 10 previous generations and 10 future generations are affected. Who snatches the living, given by self or by others, they are born as the worms of shit for 60,000 years. therefore, even if Braahman commits any crime or does anything wrong or bad, still always bow to him. As I greet Braahman carefully three times a day, so you should also do that." and He went to His palace.

65-Balaraam Jee Goes to Brij

Shuk Dev Jee said - "Balaraam Jee wanted to see Nand Baabaa and other relatives so he came to Brij. Everybody, Gop, Nand Jee etc were very happy to see him. They exchanged the news of each other, including of Shree Krishn. Gop were specially happy to see him. They asked - "Is our dear Shree Krishn all right there? Does He remember us anytime? Will He come here at least once to meet His mother? We are only villagers, so He could confuse us, but those women are from city, they will not get confused."  "No, no, Krishn is very clever in confusing others. He must have confused them also."  They got so much moved with love that while remembering Him they starting weeping. Balaraam Jee consoled them telling them many kinds of loving messages from Krishn. He stayed there the whole Spring - Chaitra and Vaishaakh Maas and enjoyed with Gopee.

Varun Dev sent his daughter Vaarunee Devee there. She flowed from the root place of a tree. The whole forest was filled with her sweet smell. Balaraam Jee also got that smell, so he came to that site with other Gopee and enjoyed the smell. He went crazy with all this, so he called Yamunaa to play water games in her waters; but Yamunaa thought that "now he is not in his senses", so she ignored him. Balaraam Jee got very angry at this and said - "You are insulting me? I can cut you in hundreds of pieces with the point of my Hal." Hearing this Yamunaa got scared and came out and fell on the feet of Balaraam Jee - "I forgot your bravery. Now I know you are the Ansh Avataar of Shesh Jee. Please forgive me." Then Balaraam Jee played water games with Gopee in her waters. When He came out of the water, Lakshmee Jee presented him blue clothes, precious jewelry and a golden necklace. He wore the blue clothes and golden necklace. He looked very handsome in that attire - as Indra's white Airaavat elephant. Pareekshit, Yamunaa flows from the same path where Balaraam Jee drew her path. The time was flying fast. Balaraam Jee could not know this in the company of Gopee."
