Planets (Graha)-Miscellanea

Brihaspati and Shukra - Guru Planets
There can be other interpretations too. Brihaspati (Dev-Guru) and Shukra (the Daitya-Guru) both are the Guru planets.

--Brihaspati represents wisdom and is the preacher of Vidyaa, thus it leads to right conduct and help to know ones real Swaroop.
--Moreover the Nava Graha Stotra calls Shukra as "Sarv Shaastra Pravaktaa".
--The Sun taught the Ved to Hanumaan and also to Yagyavalkya. Even the Jyotish was taught to Mayaasur by Soorya Dev.
--According to some astrologers Ketu also gives Adhyaatm Gyaan under some favorable placements. Ketu was raised by a Braahman family and had access to the Vaidik knowledge, if one cares for the mythology.
--Mangal's (Mars) influence is however required for one to learn the science of warfare.
--Venus is the preacher of A-Vidyaa - Neeti Shaastra. Thus it teaches us as to how enjoy this material world.

This is the reason that Yaagyavalkya says in Eesh Upanishad, that a proper mix of A-Vidyaa and Vidyaa help to enjoy till Jeev is in a mortal body and after death, soul gets salvation.
