Kaarak-Maran

Planets - Kaarak: Maran (MKS)

MKS (Maran Kaarak Planet) becomes really - and only - effective when activated in a particular planetary period.

For example, Lagna MD and 3rd Bhaav AD with Jupiter in it, then it will be a difficult time with lot of the experiences. If not Lagna MD - to continue this example - but eg 11th Bhaav MD we would have a more promising 5th Bhaav relationship (11th/3rd) between both planets, Jupiter in MKS wouldn't be considered in this case. And, if Moon would be in 2nd, Jupiter would be in 2nd from Moon, an auspicious placement. We always need more than one perspective - all depends from the point of view, all depends on the relationship of MD, AD and PD Dasa Lords.

Only planetary periods activate Grahas, Nakshatras, Rashis and Bhavas. They activate hidden potential and lead to manifestations, together with transits and progressions.

Another example - If Jupiter is placed in its own sign in 7H, it becomes Maarak, Baadhak as well as it suffers with Kendryaadhiptya Dosh. However, it harms in its Dashaa when subjected to adverse transit. It also does not have Digbala. We should not forget , that it generates Panch Mahaapurush Lakshan, and if it is in Kendra from Moon or AL , it is a great boon. One thing I have observed, MKS Planet if subjected to malefic transit, it does harm to its natural significance.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
'A planet whenever placed in any house attracts some positive and also some negative attributes.
MKS (Maran Kaarak houses) is one of them. If a planet is in its MKS house, it does not mean that it becomes bad in all its aspects. I find that following rule works well: "The following planets falling in debilitation, inimical sign or being associated with or aspected by malefics become Maarak :

Sun in 12H
Moon in 8H
Mars in 7H
Mercury alone in 7H
Jupiter in 3H
Venus in 6H
Saturn in 1H
Raahu in 9H

In case the depositor of these planets placed in angular houses from Lagna or Moon and in good association, Maarak results will not accrue.

A planet in MKS can give one of the following results:
(1) Shame, (2) Disease (3) Sorrow, (4) Fear and Grief, (5) Miseries, (6) Humiliation (7) Calumny, (8) Death

Saturn in 1st House
Saturn in first house does put one in danger (with extreme problems posed in life) and it also gives you fast forward teaching + maturity + fantastic view of situation + superb solutions that are extreme and not available or daring to others.

As far as courage to fight - people who have Saturn as MKS in 1st house (from my personal experience) have to fight till the last breath. One minute they will be down flat without energy and solution and the very next minute they will be up with vigor and stamina beyond comprehension to see problem through and the other person won't know where the rush in energy came from and what hit them. They are not easily scared or intimidated and they themselves can be very very intimidating and they also posses the capability and capacity to scare the hell out of others.

People with MKS especially Saturn in 1st house - if they put their mind and heart (both must be together as one) can make or break a person in the world. The determination and the fire within them is overwhelming and endless. This is the energy they get from the malefic Saturn in first house.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Jupiter in 3rd (MKS) [see example in Section No 1, last para] or 7th (without any Dig Bal) is surely more negative than positive - but Jupiter always is able to show his good and auspicious sides, wherever he may be posited. This means - we need a holistic view in chart interpretation. In my view many interpretations are too negative, too much depending on fate and destiny, negating the fact that we can use by ourselves each constellation for its best (which is our freedom). By the way, MKS concept shows the most 'evil' placements of planets - why don't we have a concept which shows - in the same way - the most positive placements of planets?
